Frequently Asked Questions
Can you make a custom rear window graphic from my image?
Yes we can custom make rear window graphics. However, it is important to note that the image you use must be a high resolution file. (If you found the image on the Internet and it is small, we will NOT be able to enlarge it and produce a high quality graphic.) For instructions on how to start a custom job, click here.
Can a rear window graphic be applied on a window with a wiper, window tint, or with a rear defroster?
Yes. Rear window graphics can be applied in all or any of these situations. They are not affected by a rear wiper, existing window tint or a rear defroster.
If I give you the dimensions of my window, can you custom make the rear
window graphic?
Unless you are having us custom make a rear window graphic, the graphics are only available in the sizes indicated on the product page. Custom rear window graphics are made to fit the largest width and height of your window. All rear window graphics are trimmed to fit during installation.
Can I apply a rear window graphic on my “slider” window?
Not unless you will no longer be opening the window. The opening and closing of the window will start to lift the edges of the graphic, therefore reducing it’s lifespan.
How is it possible to see outside with a rear window graphics on my window?
See-through window graphics are printed on perforated vinyl. The beauty of "window perf" is that it is made up of 50% vinyl and 50% holes. When someone looks at the image on your window, their eyes absorb the light being reflected off of the printed image. The holes cannot be seen. The graphic looks like a solid image!
The "sticky side" of the graphic is black. From the inside, your eyes absorb the light reflected off objects outside the vehicle, such as buildings, cars, trees, etc. Your eyes blend the black material on the inside with the images seen through the holes, creating the illusion that there is nothing on your window. The resulting effect will amaze you!
What does the lamination do for the graphic?
Laminating the graphic does two major things. 1) It extends the life of
your graphic. 2) Lamination covers the tiny perforated holes and does not
allow water to get into them. (Water and ice in the holes can often
distort your vision temporarily.)
