A minimum of 30 days cure time should be given to newly painted wall surfaces. Freshly painted walls should be avoided, especially those with a gloss or semi-gloss finish. (These paints tend to have surface agents that reduce bond.) Also, please be aware that some paints are formulated with "dirt repellant" which contains permanent additives that may affect adhesive bond. (We offer a different vinyl wall material for better adhesion if you think you will have a problem with a particular type of wall paint.) Be sure that the decal has been lying flat for at least 24 hours. It should not be curling up from being in a shipping tube.
Spray the wall with alcohol and wipe dry. This step should NOT be avoided even if the paint is new and the walls seem clean.
Once the wall is clean and dry, simply peel and stick. Apply the decal using the Hinge Method or however you feel comfortable.
Remove the top transfer paper tape starting at the corner and pull away toward you at a 90 degree angle and at a slow pace. Don't rush this process. Some wall paints have agents in them that resists adhesion. The slower the better.
Take your time and go over the graphic with a squeegee after the transfer tape is removed to make sure you have no bubbles or imperfections. Start from the middle out to remove creases and bubbles. If you do not have a special felt squeegee, be sure to put a cloth over the plastic squeegee so as not to scratch the ink on the wall graphic digital print.
That's it. You're done! You will enjoy your decals for years to come...
